The typically Mediterranean climate of Cyprus is predominantly sunny with clear skies, which accounts for 300-340 days of sunshine a year.

The summer months are definitely the most popular for enjoying the beach with temperatures during the day reaching around 33 degrees Celsius, while evenings always tend to be refreshingly cooler. July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures lurking around 40 degrees Celsius. However there is always the option of going up to the mountains to escape the heat.

The first half of October is usually warm enough to go to the beach. Winter usually sets in around November and is relatively mild. Rainfall typically occurs between the months of December and March. January is the coldest month, with an average temperature of about 10 degrees Celsius. Snow on the Troodos Mountains is also a yearly occurrence, from January through March, making skiing in Cyprus a reality.

Spring is always especially beautiful in Cyprus with an abundance of colourful wild flowers and an outbreak of greenery in a typically drier terrain.

The average annual temperature of Cyprus is around 20 degrees Celsius, while average annual rainfall is about 20 inches. Relative humidity of the air is on average between 60% and 80% in winter and between 40% and 60% in summer, with lower values over inland areas around midday.

In general, the weather in Cyprus makes vacationing on the island a possibility during any time of the year.
